Environmental Scientist (Junior)

Rubidium is now offering a great opportunity for a Junior Environmental Scientist in our growing Environmental Due Diligience division. Ideally suited for those to outgoing, ambitious, and hardworking people ready to grow their career.

 

Responsibilities & Attributes:
-Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments
-Review historical records, environmental reports, figures, and tables
-Work with project manager to plan and schedule fieldwork
-Conduct field investigations
-Prepare health and safety plans for field investigations
-Coordinate and schedule subcontractor services
-Oversee drilling activities
-Collect soil and/or groundwater samples
-Review and interpret laboratory analytical results
-Compile reports, tables, borehole logs, cross-sections, and AutoCAD figures
-Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable Regulations, Standards, and Guidelines
-Manage schedule, budgets, and tasks
-Knowledge of health and safety protocols
-Customer service and communication with Clients

 

Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, geology, or related field
-1-3 years’ experience in the consulting industry or relevant industry
-Strong technical writing skills
-Knowledge of and ability to interpret environmental regulations, guidelines, and standards (i.e., O. Reg. 153/04, CSA Z768-01, Z769-00)
-Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, Strater, and Surfer
